أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

خَرَجْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأنا خَفِيفَةُ اللَّحْمِ فَنَزَلْنَا مَنْزِلًا فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «تَقَدَّمُوا» ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي «تَعَالَيْ حَتَّى أُسَابِقَكِ فَسَابَقَنِي فَسَبَقْتُهُ» ثُمَّ خَرَجْتُ مَعَهُ فِي سَفَرٍ آخَرَ وَقَدْ حَمَلْتُ اللَّحْمَ فَنَزَلْنَا مَنْزِلًا فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «تَقَدَّمُوا» ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي تَعَالَيْ أُسَابِقُكِ فَسَابَقَنِي فَسَبَقَنِي فَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ كَتِفِي وَقَالَ «هَذِهِ بِتِلْكَ»

✧ I went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while I was light of flesh, and we encamped. He said to his companions, “Go ahead.” Then he said to me, “Come, let me race you.” So I raced him and outran him. Then I went out with him on another journey after I had gained flesh, and we encamped. He said to his companions, “Go ahead.” Then he said to me, “Come, I race you.” So I raced him and he outran me. He struck my shoulder with his hand and said, “This is for that.”
