✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out, he would cast lots among his wives. The lot fell on 'A'ishah and Hafsah, so they both set out with him. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was traveling at night, he would walk with 'A'ishah and talk with her. Hafsah said to 'A'ishah: 'Won't you ride my camel tonight and I ride your camel, so you can see and I can see?' She said: 'Yes.' So 'A'ishah rode Hafsah's camel, and Hafsah rode 'A'ishah's camel. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to 'A'ishah's camel, on which Hafsah was, and greeted her, then walked with her until they stopped. 'A'ishah noticed his absence and became jealous. When she dismounted, she put her feet among the sweet rush and said: 'O Lord, send upon me a scorpion or a snake to bite me, because of your Messenger ﷺ, for I cannot say anything to him.'
