أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمَّا تَزَوَّجَهَا وَقَالَ يَعْقُوبُ «فَلَمَّا تَزَوَّجَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ أَقَامَ عِنْدَهَا ثَلَاثًا» وَقَالَ لَهَا «لَيْسَ بِكِ عَلَى أَهْلِكِ هَوَانٌ إِنْ شِئْتِ سَبَّعْتُ لَكِ وَإِنْ سَبَّعْتُ لَكِ سَبَّعْتُ لِنِسَائِي»

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ married her — and Ya'qub said: "When he married Umm Salamah, he stayed with her three days and said to her: 'You are not disgraced before your family. If you wish, I will devote seven days to you, and if I devote seven days to you, I will devote seven days to my wives.'"
