أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
«فَقَدْتَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَبِعْتُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِالْبَقِيعِ» قَالَ «سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ دَارَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْتُمْ لَنَا فَرَطٌ وَإِنَّا لَاحِقُونَ اللهُمَّ لَا تَحْرِمْنَا أَجْرَهُمْ وَلَا تَفْتِنَّا بَعْدَهُمْ» قَالَتْ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَيَّ فَقَالَ «وَيْحَهَا لَوْ تَسْتَطِيعُ مَا فَعَلَتْ»

✧ She said: “I missed him during the night and followed him, and there he was at al-Baqi‘.” He said: “Peace be upon you, abode of a believing people. You have gone ahead of us, and we shall join you. O Allah, do not deprive us of their reward and do not try us after them.” She said: “Then he turned to me and said: ‘Woe to her! If only she could do what she did.’”
