أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
افْتَقَدْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ ذَهَبَ إِلَى بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ فَتَحَسَّسْتُهُ ثُمَّ رَجَعْتُ فَإِذَا هُوَ رَاكِعٌ أَوْ سَاجِدٌ يَقُولُ «سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ» فَقُلْتُ «بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي إِنَّكَ لَفِي شَأْنٍ وَإِنِّي لَفِي آخَرَ»

✧ I missed the Prophet ﷺ one night and thought that he had gone to one of his other wives. I looked for him and then returned, and there he was, bowing or prostrating, saying: “Glory be to You and praise; there is no god but You.” I said: “May my father and mother be sacrificed for you; you are engaged in one matter and I am in another.”
