أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْمُهَلَّبِ بْنِ أَبِي صُفْرَةَ قَالَ

حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ الْخَنْدَقِ «إِنِّي لَا أَرَى الْقَوْمَ إِلَّا مُبَيِّتِيكُمُ اللَّيْلَةَ فَإِنَّ شِعَارَكُمْ حم لَا يُنْصَرُونَ»

Translation

✧ A man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ narrated to me, saying: The Prophet ﷺ said on the night of the trench: “I do not think the enemy will attack you except tonight. Your motto shall be: ‘Ha Mim; they are not helped.’”
