أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى فِي أَصْحَابِهِ تَأَخُّرًا فَقَالَ «تَقَدَّمُوا فَأْتَمُّوا بِي وَلْيَأْتَمَّ بِكُمْ مَنْ بَعْدَكُمْ وَلَا يَزَالُ قَوْمٌ يَتَأَخَّرُونَ حَتَّى يُؤَخِّرَهُمُ اللهُ» 873 أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ نَحْوَهُ

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ saw among his companions a delay [in coming to prayer], so he said: “Come forward and follow me, and let those after you follow you. A people will keep delaying until Allah delays them.” 873 Suwayd b. Nasr reported to us; he said: ʿAbd Allāh reported to us, from al-Jurayrī, from Abū Naḍrah, something similar.
