أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ كَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ فِي قُرَيْشٍ لَا يُعَادِيهِمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا أَكَبَّهُ اللهُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ مَا أَقَامُوا الدِّينَ»

Translation

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "This matter is in Quraysh. No one opposes them but Allah will cast him down on his face, as long as they establish the religion."
