أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ وَالْمَنْشَطِ وَالْمَكْرَهِ وَأَثَرَةٍ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى أَنْ لَا نُنَازِعَ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ وَعَلَى أَنْ نَقُولَ بِالْحَقِّ حَيْثُمَا كُنَّا

Translation

✧ I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of God ﷺ to hear and obey in hardship and ease, in activity and reluctance, and in preference over us, and not to dispute the authority with its people, and to say the truth wherever we are.
