أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ

«بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْيُسْرِ وَالْعُسْرِ وَالْمَنْشَطِ وَالْمَكْرَهِ وَأَنْ لَا نُنَازِعَ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ وَأَنْ نَقُولَ أَوْ نَقُومَ بِالْحَقِّ حَيْثُ كُنَّا لَا نَخَافَ فِي اللهِ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ»

✧ We pledged allegiance to the Messenger of God ﷺ to hear and obey in ease and hardship, in activity and reluctance, and not to dispute the authority with its people, and to say—or stand—for the truth wherever we are, not fearing, for the sake of God, the blame of any critic.
