✧ The reward for those who fight them.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَالِكٍ عَمْرٌو وَهُوَ ابْنُ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيًّا يَقُولُ أَنَا فَقَأْتُ عَيْنَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَلَوْلَا أَنَا مَا قُوتِلَ أَهْلُ النَّهْرَوَانِ وَلَوْلَا أَنِّي أَخْشَى أَنْ تَتْرُكُوا الْعَمَلَ لَأَخْبَرْتُكُمْ بِالَّذِي قَضَى الله عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيَّكُمْ ﷺ لِمَنْ قَاتَلَهُمْ مُبْصِرًا لِضَلَالَتِهِمْ عَارِفًا بِالْهُدَى الَّذِي نَحْنُ عَلَيْهِ

✧ He heard Ali say, "I have gouged out the eye of discord. Were it not for me, the people of Nahrawan would not have been fought. Were it not that I fear you would abandon action, I would inform you of what Allah has decreed on the tongue of your Prophet ﷺ for those who fight them while recognizing their misguidance and knowing the guidance that we are upon."
