✧ Prophet's ﷺ guidance on the innocence of Ali

أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنْ فِطْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رقيمٍ عَنْ سَعْدٍ قَالَ
بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَبَا بَكْرٍ بِبَرَاءَةَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بِبَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ أَرْسَلَ عَلِيًّا فَأَخَذَهَا مِنْهُ ثُمَّ سَارَ بِهَا فَوَجَدَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي نَفْسِهِ فَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّهُ لَا يُؤَدِّي عَنِّي إِلَّا أَنَا أَوْ رَجُلٌ مِنِّي»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Abu Bakr with Bara'ah, and when he was partway, he sent Ali, who took it from him and then journeyed with it. Abu Bakr felt something within himself, so he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one conveys from me except myself or a man from me."
