✧ The Virtues of Fatimah bt. Rasulullah ﷺ

أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْرَائِيلُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَسَدِيِّ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ هُوَ ابْنُ الْيَمَانِ أَنَّ أُمَّهُ قَالَتْ

لَهُ «مَتَى عَهْدُكَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟» فَقَالَ مَا لِي بِهِ عَهْدٌ مُنْذُ كَذَا فَهَمَّتْ أَنْ تَنَالَ مِنِّي فَقُلْتُ «دَعِينِي فَإِنِّي أَذْهَبُ فَلَا أَدَعُهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَغْفِرَ لِي وَيَسْتَغْفِرَ لَكِ وَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ الْمَغْرِبَ ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي حَتَّى صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَخَرَجْتُ مَعَهُ فَإِذَا عَارِضٌ قَدْ عَرَضَ لَهُ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ فَرَآنِي» فَقَالَ «حُذَيْفَةُ؟» فَقُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ رَأَيْتَ الْعَارِضَ الَّذِي عَرَضَ لِي؟ قُلْتُ «نَعَمْ» قَالَ «فَإِنَّهُ مَلَكٌ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَبَّهُ لِيُسَلِّمَ عَلَيَّ وَلِيُبَشِّرَنِي أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ سَيِّدَا شَبَابِ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ»

✧ He said to him, “When were you last with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?” He said, “I have not been with him since such and such.” She was about to get at me, so I said, “Leave me, for I will go and not leave him until he asks forgiveness for me and for you.” I prayed Maghrib with him, then he stood praying until he prayed Isha, then he left and I left with him. An obstacle appeared before him, and then went away. He saw me and said, “Hudhayfah?” I said, “At your service, O Messenger of Allah. Did you see the obstacle that appeared before me?” I said, “Yes.” He said, “It was an angel who asked his Lord’s permission to greet me and give me glad tidings that al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the masters of the youth of Paradise, and that Fatimah bt. Muhammad ﷺ is the mistress of the women of Paradise.”
