أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ أُسَيْدَ بْنَ حُضَيْرٍ وَعَبَّادَ بْنَ بِشْرٍ «كَانَا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ظَلْمَاءَ حِنْدِسٍ فَخَرَجَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ فَأَضَاءَتْ عَصَا أَحَدِهِمَا فَجَعَلَا يَمْشِيَانِ بِضَوْئِهَا فَلَمَّا تَفَرَّقَا أَضَاءَتْ عَصَا الْآخَرِ»

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ Usayd b. Hudayr and Abbad b. Bishr were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a dark, pitch-black night. When they left him, the staff of one of them lit up, and they walked by its light. When they separated, the staff of the other lit up.
