أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَافَى بْنُ عِمْرَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ عُمَرُ نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ مُعَاذُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْجَمُوحِ»

Translation

  2. Muʿāfá b. ʿImrān
  3. Sulaymān b. Bilāl
  4. Suhayl b. Abū Ṣāliḥ from his father
  5. Abū Hurayrah

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "What an excellent man is Abu Bakr! What an excellent man is Umar! What an excellent man is Abu Ubaydah b. al-Jarrah! What an excellent man is Usayd b. Hudhayr! What an excellent man is Mu'adh b. Jabal! What an excellent man is Mu'adh b. Amr b. al-Jamuh!"
