✧ Saad b. Muadh, the Master of the Aws

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ

سَمِعتُ الْبَرَاءَ يَقُولُ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِثَوْبِ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلُوا يَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ حُسْنِهِ وَلِينِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَمَنْادِيلُ سَعْدٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ هَذَا»

Translation

✧ I heard al-Bara' say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a garment of silk, and they began to marvel at its beauty and softness. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The handkerchiefs of Sa'd in Paradise are better than this.'
