أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ بْنَ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولُ نَزَلَ أَهْلُ قُرَيْظَةَ عَلَى حَكَمِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فَأَتَاهُ عَلَى حِمَارٍ فَلَمَّا دَنَا قَرِيبًا مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِلْأَنْصَارِ «قُومُوا إِلَى سَيِّدِكُمْ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ نَزَلُوا عَلَى حُكْمِكَ» قَالَ «تُقَتَّلُ مُقَاتِلَتُهُمْ وَتُسْبَى ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ» قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «قَضَيْتَ بِحُكْمِ اللهِ» وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ «قَضَيْتَ بِحُكْمِ الْمَلِكِ»

✧ I heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri say: The people of Qurayzah agreed to accept the judgment of Sa'd b. Mu'adh. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for Sa'd b. Mu'adh, and he came to him on a donkey. When he approached near the mosque, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the Ansar: 'Stand up for your leader.' Then he said: 'These people have agreed to accept your judgment.' He said: 'Their fighters should be killed and their women and children taken captive.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'You have judged according to the judgment of Allah.' Or he sometimes said: 'You have judged according to the judgment of the King.'
