✧ The Virtue of Abu Bakr and Umar

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِقَصَرٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ» قُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا لِشَابٍّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنِّي أَنَا هُوَ فَقُلْتُ «وَمَنْ هُوَ؟» قَالُوا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ 8074 أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: "I entered Paradise and there was a palace of gold." I said, "Whose is this palace?" They said, "For a young man from Quraysh." I thought I was him, so I said, "And who is he?" They said, "Umar ibn al-Khattab." 8074 Amr ibn Uthman informed us, he said Muhammad ibn Harb narrated to me from al-Zubaydi from al-Zuhri.
