أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قَدْ كَانَ يَكُونُ فِي الْأُمَّةِ مُحَدِّثُونَ فَإِنْ يَكُنْ فِي أُمَّتِي أَحَدٌ فَعُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "There were among the nations before you people who were inspired (muhaddathun). If there is anyone in my nation like that, it is 'Umar ibn al-Khattab."
