✧ "I recited Surah al-Baqarah while a horse of mine was tethered, and my son Yahya was lying near me, and he was a boy. The horse moved, so I got up, having no concern except my son Yahya. Then the horse calmed down. Then I recited, and the horse moved, so I got up, having no concern except my son. Then I recited, and the horse moved, so I raised my head, and there was something like a canopy with lamps coming from the sky, and it alarmed me, so I fell silent. When morning came, I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him." He said: "Recite, Abu Yahya." I said: "I recited, and the horse moved, so I got up, having no concern except my son." He said: "Recite, Abu Yahya." I said to him: "I recited, O Messenger of Allah, and the horse moved, and I had no concern except my son." He said: "Recite, O Ibn Hudayr." He said: "I recited, then I raised my head, and there was something like a canopy with lamps, and it alarmed me." He said: "Those were angels who came near to your voice; had you recited, the people would have woken up looking at them."
