أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا أَنَا عِنْدَ سُلَيْمَانَ إِذْ جَاءَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ فَحَدَّثَ سُلَيْمَانُ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلَيْمَانُ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا بُرْدَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا جَلْدَ فَوْقَ عَشَرَةِ أَسْوَاطٍ إِلَّا فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللهِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "There is no flogging of more than ten lashes except in a prescribed punishment (hadd) from the prescribed punishments of Allah."
