أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يُقَالُ لَهُ فُلَانُ بْنُ مُعَتِّبٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ فَنِلْتُ مِنْهَا مَا يَنَالُ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ إِلَّا أَنِّي لَمْ أُواقعها فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَمْ يُجِبْ حَتَّى أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ} [هود 114] الْآيَةَ فَدَعَاهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَرَأَهَا عَلَيْهِ
Translation

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ called so-and-so b. Mu'attib and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I entered upon a woman and did with her what a man does with his wife, except that I did not have intercourse with her." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not respond or answer until this verse was revealed to him: {Establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night} [Hud: 114] - the verse. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called him and recited it to him.
