أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ وَهُوَ أَبُو زَيْدٍ الْهَرَوِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ خَالِي عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

أَتَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ امْرَأَةً فِي أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَصَبْتُ مِنْهَا مَا دُونَ الْجِمَاعِ فَأُنْزِلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ} [هود 114] [478] 7279 أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ أَبُو قَطَنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ خَالِي عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

✧ A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "I was with a woman in the farthest part of Madinah, and I did with her everything short of intercourse." Then this verse was sent down: {Establish prayer at the two ends of the day} [Hud: 114]. [478] 7279 Muhammad b. Bashshar informed us, saying: 'Amr b. al-Haytham Abu Qatan narrated to me, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us from Simak b. Harb from Ibrahim from Khal (his maternal uncle) from 'Abdullah from the Prophet ﷺ.
