al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 7217

✧ The limitation of a man's stay to his wife when she commits adultery.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ هُوَ ابْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ هُوَ ابْنُ بِلَالٍ قَالَ قَالَ يَحْيَى هُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَأَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ حَدَّثَهُ

أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَزِيدَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَاهُ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُسْأَلُ عَنِ الْأَمَةِ إِذَا زَنَتْ وَلَمْ تُحْصِنْ؟ قَالَ «اجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا ثُمَّ بِيعُوهَا وَلَوْ بِضَفِيرٍ بَعْدَ الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ وَالضَّفِيرُ الْحَبْلُ»

✧ Abu Hurayrah and Zayd b. Khalid narrated to him that they both heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was asked about the slave-woman who commits adultery and has not been married? He said: "Flog her. Then if she commits adultery, flog her. Then if she commits adultery, flog her. Then sell her, even for a hair rope, after the third or fourth time; and al-dafir is the rope."
