✧ Ma‘iz b. Malik came to the Prophet ﷺ and confessed adultery four times. The Prophet ﷺ asked about him, then ordered that he be stoned. We stoned him with pieces of baked clay, stones, and bones. We did not dig a hole for him or tie him up. He outran us to the lava field, and we followed him. He stood for us, and we threw at him until he fell silent. The Prophet ﷺ did not seek forgiveness for him nor curse him.
