أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ نَصِيرٍ الطَّائِيُّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ

ضَرَبَتِ امْرَأَةٌ ضَرَّتَهَا بِحَجَرٍ وَهِيَ حُبْلَى فَقَتَلَتْهَا فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا فِي بَطْنِهَا غُرَّةً وَجَعَلَ عَقْلَهَا عَلَى عَصَبَتِهَا فَقَالُوا أَنُغَرَّمُ مَنْ لَا شَرِبَ وَلَا أَكَلَ وَلَا اسْتَهَلَّ فَمِثْلُ ذَلِكَ يُطَلُّ فَقَالَ «أَسَجْعٌ كَسَجْعِ الْأَعْرَابِ؟ هُوَ مَا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ»

✧ A woman struck her co-wife with a stone while she was pregnant and killed her. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made what was in her womb a ghurrah and made her blood money upon her 'aṣabah. They said, 'Should we be fined for one who did not drink, eat, or cry out? Such a one should be disregarded.' He said, 'Is it rhymed speech like the rhymed speech of the Bedouins? It is as I tell you.'
