✧ Inheritance of a woman from the blood money of her husband.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْمَكِّيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ يَقُولُ قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ «الدِّيَةُ لِلْعَاقِلَةِ وَلَا تَرِثُ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ دِيَةِ زَوْجِهَا شَيْئًا» حَتَّى شَهِدَ الضَّحَّاكُ الْكِلَابِيُّ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ أَنْ يُوَرِّثَ امْرَأَةَ أَشْيَمَ الضِّبَابِيِّ مِنْ دِيَةِ زَوْجِهَا فَرَجَعَ عُمَرُ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ wrote to him that he should give the wife of Ashyam al-Dababi an inheritance from her husband's blood money, so Umar retracted his opinion.
