أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ قَبِيصَةَ بْنَ ذُؤَيْبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ الْجَدَّةَ جَاءَتْ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ تَسْأَلُهُ حَقَّهَا فَقَالَ
مَا أَعْلَمُ لَكِ شَيْئًا؟ وَسَأَسْأَلُ النَّاسَ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى النَّاسُ الصُّبْحَ سَأَلَهُمْ فَقَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ أَنَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَعْطَاهَا السُّدُسَ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ هَلْ مَعَكَ غَيْرُكَ؟ فَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ أَنَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَعْطَاهَا ذَلِكَ فَأَعْطَاهَا ذَلِكَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ لَا أَدْرِي أَيُّ الْجَدَّتَيْنِ هِيَ؟

✧ I do not know of anything for you, but I will ask the people. After the people prayed the morning prayer, he asked them. Al-Mughira b. Shu'ba said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ give her one-sixth.' Abu Bakr said: 'Is there anyone else with you?' Muhammad b. Maslama said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ give her that.' So Abu Bakr gave her that. Ibn Shihab said: 'I do not know which of the two grandmothers she was.'
