أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَ أَبِي قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُنِيبِ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْعَتَكِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

أَطْعَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْجَدَّةَ السُّدُسَ إِذَا لَمْ تَكُنْ أُمٌّ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī b. al-Ḥasan b. Shaqīq al-Marwazī from my father
  2. Abū al-Munīb ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh al-ʿAtakī
  3. ʿAbdullāh b. Buraydah from his father

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave the grandmother one-sixth if there was no mother.
