أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ جَاءَتْ هِنْدُ بِنْتُ عُتْبَةَ فَقَالَتْ
إِنَّ زَوْجِي أَبَا سُفْيَانَ رَجُلٌ مُمْسِكٌ شَحِيحٌ لَا يُعْطِينِي مَا يَكْفِينِي وَبَنِيَّ أَفَآخُذُ مِنْ مَالِهِ وَهُوَ لَا يَعْلَمُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «خُذِي مَا يَكْفِيكِ وَبَنِيكِ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ»

✧ My husband Abū Sufyān is a stingy man who does not give me and my children enough. May I take from his wealth without his knowledge?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Take what is sufficient for you and your children, in a fair manner.”
