✧ The curse of a man slandering his wife with another man in his eyes

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ رَاهَوَيْهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى السَّامِيُّ قَالَ سُئِلَ هِشَامٌ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَقْذِفُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَحَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَسَّانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سِيرِينَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ عَنْ ذَلِكَ وَأَنَا أَرَى أَنَّ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ عِلْمًا فَقَالَ إِنَّ هِلَالَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ قَذَفَ امْرَأَتَهُ بِشَرِيكِ بْنِ السَّحْمَاءِ وَكَانَ أَخَا الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ لِأُمِّهِ وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ

لَاعَنَ فَلَاعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَهُمَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «ابْصُرُوهُ فَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَبْيَضَ سَبِطًا قَضِيءَ الْعَيْنَيْنِ فَهُوَ لِهِلَالِ ابْنِ أُمَيَّةَ وَإِنْ جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا أَحْمَشَ السَّاقَيْنِ فَهُوَ لِشَرِيكِ بْنِ السَّحْمَاءِ» قَالَ فَأُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّهَا جَاءَتْ بِهِ أَكْحَلَ جَعْدًا أَحْمَشَ السَّاقَيْنِ

✧ He invoked curses, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conducted the cursing between them, then said: 'Observe her. If she gives birth to a child who is white, with lank hair, and weak eyes, then it is for Hilal b. Umayya; but if she gives birth to one with dark eyelids, curly hair, and thin shanks, then it is for Sharik b. al-Sahma.' He said: I was informed that she gave birth to one with dark eyelids, curly hair, and thin shanks.
