✧ Taking Hold of the Devil's Throat and Strangling Him in Prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «اعْتَرَضَ لِي الشَّيْطَانُ فِي مُصَلَّايَ فَأَخَذْتُ بِحَلْقِهِ فَخَنَقْتُهُ حَتَّى وَجَدْتُ بَرْدَ لِسَانِهِ عَلَى كَفَّيَّ وَلَوْلَا مَا كَانَ مِنْ دَعْوَةِ أَخِي سُلَيْمَانَ لَأَصْبَحَ مَرْبُوطًا تَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The devil presented himself to me in my place of prayer, so I seized him by the throat and choked him until I felt the coldness of his tongue on my palm. Were it not for the supplication of my brother Sulayman, he would have been tied up and you would have been looking at him.”
