أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ سَاجِدًا فِي آخِرِ سُجُودِهِ فِي صَلَاةِ الْآيَاتِ فَنَفَخَ فِي آخِرِ سَجْدَةٍ فَقَالَ «أُفٍّ أُفٍّ أُفٍّ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «رَبِّ أَلَمْ تَعِدْنِي أَنْ لَا تُعَذِّبْهُمْ وَأَنَا فِيهِمْ رَبِّ أَلَمْ تَعِدْنِي أَنْ لَا تُعَذِّبْهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was prostrating in the last of his prostrations during the prayer of the signs, and he blew in the last prostration and said: “Uff, uff, uff.” Then he said: “My Lord, did You not promise me that You would not punish them while I am among them? My Lord, did You not promise me that You would not punish them while they seek forgiveness?”
