✧ What is prohibited through breastfeeding?

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا قَالَ

لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي ابْنَةِ حَمْزَةَ فَذَكَرَ مِنْ جَمَالِهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ أَوَ مَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ اللهَ حَرَّمَ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ مَا حَرَّمَ مِنَ النَّسَبِ؟»

✧ Regarding the Prophet ﷺ and the daughter of Hamzah, and he mentioned her beauty, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "She is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding. Do you not know that Allah has prohibited through breastfeeding what He has prohibited through lineage?"
