أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ الْمَخْرَمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ

عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى أَجْمَلِ فَتَاةٍ فِي قُرَيْشٍ؟ قَالَ «مَنْ هِيَ؟» قُلْتُ بِنْتُ حَمْزَةَ قَالَ «أَوَ مَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ؟ وَأَنَّ اللهَ قَدْ حَرَّمَ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ مَا حَرَّمَ مِنَ النَّسَبِ؟»

Translation

✧ On the authority of 'Ali, I said: "O Messenger of Allah, shall I not point you to the most beautiful young woman in Quraysh?" He said: "Who is she?" I said: "The daughter of Hamzah." He said: "Do you not know that she is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding? And that Allah has prohibited through breastfeeding what He has prohibited through lineage?"
