✧ Prophet's ﷺ Marriage and what Allah, the Glorious, has made permissible for His Prophet ﷺ and forbidden for His creation, as an increase in His honor and a clarification of His excellence.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
كُنْتُ أَغَارُ عَلَى اللَّائِي وَهَبْنَ أَنْفُسَهُنَّ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَقُولُ أَوَ تَهَبُ الْمَرْأَةُ نَفْسَهَا؟ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ {تُرْجِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ مِنْهُنَّ وَتُؤْوِي إِلَيْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ} [الأحزاب 51] قُلْتُ وَاللهِ مَا أَرَى رَبَّكَ إِلَّا يُسَارِعُ لَكَ فِي هَوَاكَ
Translation

✧ I used to feel jealous of those who offered themselves to the Prophet ﷺ, and I said: 'Does a woman offer herself?' Then God revealed: {You may defer whom you will of them, and you may receive whom you will} [al-Ahzab 51]. I said: 'By God, I see that your Lord is quick to hasten in whatever you desire.'
