أَخْبَرَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنِ ابْنِ فُضَيْلٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
«كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُنْبَذُ لَهُ زَبِيبٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَيَجْعَلُ فِي سِقَاءٍ فَيَشْرَبُهُ يَوْمَهُ ذَلِكَ وَالْغَدَ وَبَعْدَ الْغَدِ فَإِذَا كَانَ مِنْ آخِرِ الثَّالِثَةِ سَقَاهُ أَوْ شَرِبَهُ فَإِذَا أَصْبَحَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ أَهْرَاقَهُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ used to have raisins soaked for him at night in a water skin, and he would drink it that day, the next day, and the day after. When it was the end of the third day, he would give it to drink or drink it, and if any of it remained in the morning, he would pour it out.
