أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ فَرَدَّ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ
قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الرَّجُلُ تَكُونُ عِنْدَهُ الْمَرْأَةُ تُرْضِعُ فَيُصِيبُ مِنْهَا فَيَكْرَهُ أَنْ تَحْمِلَ وَتَكُونُ عِنْدَهُ الْجَارِيَةُ فَيُصِيبُ مِنْهَا وَيَكْرَهُ أَنْ تَحْمِلَ فَيَعْزِلَ عَنْهَا قَالَ «لَا عَلَيْكُمْ أَلَّا تَفْعَلُوا فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ الْقَدَرُ»

✧ We said: O Messenger of God, a man has a woman who is nursing, and he has intercourse with her and dislikes that she becomes pregnant; and he has a slave-girl and has intercourse with her and dislikes that she becomes pregnant, so he withdraws from her. He said: “You would do no harm not to do it, for it is but destiny.”
