أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَبِيعَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنِ ابْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَبُو صِرْمَةَ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ فَسَأَلَهُ أَبُو صِرْمَةَ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ هَلْ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَذْكُرُ الْعَزْلَ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ غَزْوَةَ بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ فَسَبَيْنَا كَرَائِمَ الْعَرَبِ فَطَالَتْ عَلَيْنَا الْعُزْبَةُ وَرَغِبْنَا فِي النِّسَاءِ فَأَرَدْنَا أَنْ نَسْتَمْتِعَ وَنَعْزِلَ فَقُلْنَا نَفْعَلُ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِنَا لَا نَسْأَلُهُ فَسَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا عَلَيْكُمْ أَلَّا تَفْعَلُوا مَا كَتَبَ اللهُ خَلَقَ نَسَمَةً هِيَ كَائِنَةٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا سَتَكُونُ»

✧ I and Abū Ṣirmah entered upon Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī. Abū Ṣirmah asked him saying: O Abū Saʿīd, have you heard the Messenger of God ﷺ mention coitus interruptus? He said: Yes. We raided with the Messenger of God ﷺ the expedition of Banū al-Muṣṭaliq and captured noble Arab women. Celibacy became prolonged for us, and we desired women, so we wanted to enjoy ourselves and practice coitus interruptus. We said: We do it while the Messenger of God ﷺ is among us and we do not ask him? So we asked the Messenger of God ﷺ and he said: “You would do no harm not to do it. What God has created, a soul that is to be until the Day of Resurrection, will surely be.”
