✧ The Number of Eid al-Fitr Prayer and Eid al-Adha Prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ الْيَامِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ عُمَرُ «صَلَاةُ الْأَضْحَى رَكْعَتَانِ وَصَلَاةُ الْفِطْرِ رَكْعَتَانِ وَصَلَاةُ الْجُمُعَةِ رَكْعَتَانِ وَصَلَاةُ الْمُسَافِرِ رَكْعَتَانِ تَمَامٌ غَيْرُ قَصْرٍ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيَّكُمْ ﷺ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنِ افْتَرَى»

Translation

✧ 'Umar said: 'The Adha prayer is two rak'ahs, the Fitr prayer is two rak'ahs, the Friday prayer is two rak'ahs, and the traveler's prayer is two rak'ahs, complete and not shortened, on the tongue of your Prophet ﷺ. And he who fabricates has failed.'
