✧ The Number of Eid al-Fitr Prayer and Eid al-Adha Prayer

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ

قَالَ عُمَرُ «صَلَاةُ الْمُسَافِرِ رَكْعَتَانِ وَصَلَاةُ الْأَضْحَى رَكْعَتَانِ وَصَلَاةُ الْفِطْرِ رَكْعَتَانِ وَصَلَاةُ الْجُمُعَةِ رَكْعَتَانِ تَمَامٌ وَلَيْسَ بِقَصَرٍ عَلَى لِسَانِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»

✧ 'Umar said: 'The traveler's prayer is two rak'ahs, the Adha prayer is two rak'ahs, the Fitr prayer is two rak'ahs, and the Friday prayer is two rak'ahs, complete and not a shortening, on the tongue of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'
