al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 4942

✧ servant comes between two people, and one of them will free him, and the narrators differ in reporting the news of Abdullah b. Umar in that matter.

أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ حَفْصٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ غَيْلَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ مُوسَى عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَعَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ عَبْدًا وَلَهُ فِيهِ شُرَكَاءُ وَلَهُ وَفَاءٌ فَهُوَ حُرٌّ ويَضْمَنُ نَصِيبَ شُرَكَائِهِ بِقِيمَةٍ لِمَا أَسَاءَ مِنْ مُشَارَكَتِهِمْ وَلَيْسَ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ شَيْءٌ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever frees a slave in which he has partners, and he has sufficient wealth, then he is free, and he guarantees his partners’ share with a value because he harmed them by his partnership, and nothing is upon the slave.”
