أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ فَخَلَاصُهُ عَلَيْهِ فِي مَالِهِ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ قُوِّمَ ذَلِكَ الْعَبْدُ قِيمَةَ عَدْلِهِ وَاسْتَسْعَى فِي قِيمَتِهِ لِصَاحِبِهِ غَيْرَ مَشْقُوقٍ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Whoever frees a share he owns in a slave, his full liberation is upon him from his wealth, if he has wealth. If he does not have wealth, that slave is given a fair valuation, and he is made to work for his value for his owner, without being overburdened."
