al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 4937

✧ servant comes between two people, and one of them will free him, and the narrators differ in reporting the news of Abdullah b. Umar in that matter.

الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ فَكَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَ الْعَبْدِ قُوِّمَ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةُ الْعَبْدِ فَأُعْطِيَ شُرَكَاؤُهُ حِصَصَهُمْ وَعُتِقَ الْعَبْدُ وَإِلَّا فَقَدْ عُتِقَ مِنْهُ مَا عُتِقَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever frees a share of his in a slave, and has wealth that reaches the price of the slave, the value of the slave is assessed, his partners are given their portions, and the slave is freed; otherwise, he has freed of him what he has freed.”
