al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 4929

✧ servant comes between two people, and one of them will free him, and the narrators differ in reporting the news of Abdullah b. Umar in that matter.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ فَهُوَ عَتِيقٌ مِنْ مَالِهِ»

Translation

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “Whoever frees a share he has in a slave, the slave is freed. If he has wealth that reaches his price, he is freed from his wealth.”
