al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 4928

✧ servant comes between two people, and one of them will free him, and the narrators differ in reporting the news of Abdullah b. Umar in that matter.

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ كُلُّهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ الَّذِي أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ» قَالَ كَذَا قَالَ يَحْيَى بِلَا شَكٍّ

Translation

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “Whoever frees a share he has in a slave, the whole of him is freed. If the one who freed his share has wealth that reaches his price, the emancipation is upon him.” He said: Thus said Yahya without doubt.
