✧ servant comes between two people, and one of them will free him, and the narrators differ in reporting the news of Abdullah b. Umar in that matter.

أَخْبَرَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا فِي عَبْدٍ فَقَدْ أَعْتَقَ كُلَّهُ إِنْ كَانَ الَّذِي أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ يُقَامُ فِي مَالِهِ قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “Whoever frees a share in a slave has freed the whole of him if the one who freed his share has wealth that reaches his price; a fair value is assessed on his wealth. If he does not have wealth, only what he freed is freed.”
