al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 4925

✧ servant comes between two people, and one of them will free him, and the narrators differ in reporting the news of Abdullah b. Umar in that matter.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّفَارُ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شَيْئًا مِنْ مَمْلُوكٍ فَعَلَيْهِ عِتْقُهُ كُلُّهُ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ نَصِيبُهُ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Whoever frees any part of a slave, the whole emancipation is upon him if he has wealth that reaches his price. If he does not have wealth, his share is freed.”
