al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 4922

✧ servant comes between two people, and one of them will free him, and the narrators differ in reporting the news of Abdullah b. Umar in that matter.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ فَأَعْتَقَ أَحَدُهُمَا نَصِيبَهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ مُوسِرًا فَإِنَّ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ لَا وَكْسَ وَلَا شَطَطَ فَيُعْطِي صَاحِبَهُ وَيُعْتِقُ»

✧ From the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: “If a slave is between two people and one of them frees his share, if he is wealthy, he owes a fair value, without reduction or excess, so he gives his partner his share and frees him.”
