أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ أَعْتَقَ رَجُلًا مُسْلِمًا فَإِنَّ اللهَ يَجْعَلُ وِقَاءَ كُلِّ عَظْمٍ مِنْ عِظَامِهِ عَظْمًا مِنْ عِظَامِ مُحَرَّرَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَأَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ مَسْلَمَةٍ أَعْتَقَتِ امْرَأَةً مَسْلَمَةً فَإِنَّ اللهَ جَاعِلٌ وِقَاءَ كُلِّ عَظْمٍ مِنْ عِظَامِهَا عَظْمًا مِنْ عَظْمِ مُحَرَّرِهَا مِنَ النَّارِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Any man who frees a Muslim man, Allah will make a bone of his a protection for every bone of the freed man from the Fire. And any Muslim woman who frees a Muslim woman, Allah will make a bone of hers a protection for every bone of the freed woman from the Fire."
